I can’t step out of the house without wearing kohl else I feel I look pale and sick. I got a few kohl varieties from my recent vacation to Bangkok as I misplaced mine. But frankly speaking I didn’t like them much and upon returning I wanted to buy a new one.
Once while browsing through my friend’s vanity I came across Revlon Colorstay One Stroke Defining Eye Liner. I have used Revlon colorstay kajal before too and liked it but this one was a pencil based kohl. My friend went gaga over it and then even I decided to buy one. Now it’s been a week I have been using it and here is my experience with the product.
Claims: No claims are mentioned on the stick but according to the website Revlon Original Technology pencil eyeliner draws strong lines with a single stroke; incredible silky feel as smooth as a liquid eyeliner. Superb long-lasting effect and waterproof properties – an eyeliner that won’t smear, smudge, or fade . The plastic casing perfectly protects the soft core of the pencil and maintains its waterproof properties.
Packaging: The pencil is black in colour with golden letters embossed on the body. The packaging looks very pretty.
Price: It is priced at INR 560 for 1.2 grams.
Pros: I like this eyeliner because:
- The colour is deep black and it comes out really well in single stroke.
- The eye pencil is super soft and creamy.
- It can be used both as a kohl and eyeliner.
- The colour doesn’t fade away.
- It is waterproof and doesn’t smudge.
- Very long lasting- stays for 6 to 7 hours easily.
- It’s very easily available and easy to carry too.
Cons: It product has a few flaws too:
- It may not be suitable for people with sensitive eyes. It may cause irritation and itching in the eyes.
- It needs to be sharpened after every use which leads to wastage.
- The tip is very smooth so breaks easily.
- It is expensive.
Rating: I would give it 3.75/5(because the tip is very soft so need to sharpen it after every use )
