Actor Shiney Ahuja, who was accused of rape by his former domestic help is set to make a comeback with Anees Bazmi’s Welcome Back. It’s a comedy film which also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, John Abraham, Shruti Hassan, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal. Initially there were reports that Shiney Ahuja landed up at Mahesh Bhatt’s Khar office looking for work but Bhatts were against casting him in any of their film.
The actor who is currently out on bail was arrested after domestic help lodged a police complaint against him to have raped her at his residence when his wife was away. Following which Shiney was arrested and subsequently sentenced to seven years imprisonment.
The actor started his career with ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ in 2005, and later delivered hits like ‘Gangster’, ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Life in a Metro’ . He was last seen in 2012 ‘Ghost’, which doomed at the box-office.
