Recently during my trip to Pushkar I saw a lot of Himalaya and Biotique stores. There was no other brands store except these two. I was totally amazed and asked one of the shopkeepers about the reason behind so many Himalaya and Biotique stores in Pushkar which is mostly flooded with foreign tourist. The shopkeeper told me that these two are herbal and natural brands that is why they are quite a hit among the foreigners. They prefer these brands over other.
Himalaya is a popular a brand but I wasn’t aware that it is so much of a hit among the foreigner crowd. Himalaya products are easily available but my foot cream was on the verge of finishing so picked up a Himalaya foot cream from that shop. I have used other Himalaya products too in the past so picking this one was not a difficult decision. I have been using this foot cream (which is almost half over) and here is my take on the product.
Claims: It claims for soft and supple feet in three days, deep moisturizing and non-greasy.
Packaging: It comes in a white with orange coloured tube with a green coloured screw cap, wrapped in a paper box which looks cute with a foot shaped card.
Directions for use: Wash feet with lukewarm water and pat dry. Apply the required quantity of Foot Care Cream over the affected area twice daily, once in the morning after bathing and again at bedtime.
Price: Like most Himalya products, it is modestly priced at INR 45 for 20 grams and INR 95 for 50 grams tube.
Pros: You can buy this foot cream because
- The consistency is thick but it spreads easily
- It is non greasy and oily.
- It moisturises the feet and leaves them soft and smooth.
- It contains natural ingredients such as Sal, fenugreek and turmeric which are very good for skin.
-
The fragrance is mild and not that over powering.
- It helps heal dry and cracked heels as claimed.
- It is easily available and is very economical.
- The packaging is very travel friendly.
Cons: The cream is not very oily so I don’t think it will work well in winters and secondly it contains parabens.
Rating: I would give it 4.75/5 and would buy it again.
