Salted Lassi
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Cups – Plain Yogurt
- Cucumber: 1
- Salt to taste
- Green Chili: 1
- 1/2 tsp – Chopped Ginger
- 4 Stalks – Coriander Leaves
- 1 tsp – Cumin Powder
Method
- Peel and chop cucumber and grind together in a blender r with green chili, ginger, coriander leaves and salt for a minute.
- Now add the curd and blend it again.
- Pour it in a tall glass and sprinkle cumin powder.

Dum Aloo
Ingredients
- Potato : 250 gm
- Garam masala : ½ tsp.
- Tomato Puree : 100 gm
- Jeera : ¼ tsp.
- Dhaniya powder : 1½ tsp.
- Hing : 1 pinch
- Red chilly powder and Haldi powder : ½ tsp. each
- Oil for tadaka : 2 tbsp.
- Salt : 1 tsp.
- Coriander leaves : For flavour
Method
- Cut the peeled potatoes into small cubes and keep them aside.
- Peel the potatoes. Cut them into small cubes.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add jeera and hing together.
- Now add tomato puree and cook till done.
- Add potatoes cubes and fry for 2 minutes.
- After this add the remaining spices like dhaniya, red chilly, haldi, salt and garam masala.
- Add two glassfuls of water. Cover it with lid. After one whistle, let it cook on slow flame for next ten minutes..
- Dum aloo is ready to be served. Transfer it to a bowl and sprinkle some coriander leaves.
Instant Coconut Ladoo
Ingredients
- Condensed milk: 200 grams
- Freshly grated coconut: 2 cups
Method
- In a pan add condensed milk and one cup of grated coconut and mix it well. Now keep stirring the mixture so that it doesn’t stick to the pan. As soon as the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, remove from fire and let it cool.
- Now make small balls with oiled hands and roll them into the remaining grated coconut.
- Top it with an almond for garnishing. You can make 5 to 8 ladoos.
