Hollywood singer Shakira gave birth to a baby boy at a Barcelona hospital. Both the mother and the baby are in perfect health.
The singer was admitted to the hospital at 6.30 in the evening and delivered around 9.30pm. The baby boy has been named Milan Pique Mebarak which means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification.
Before the birth, Shakira had tweeted, “I’d like to ask you all to accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life.” A few days back the singer also posted her baby bump picture with boyfriend Gerard Pique for a good cause on twitter.
