The song ‘Besharam’ carbon copied the tune of ‘Bella Ciao’ already in 2013:
Money Heist was famous for a lot of reasons and one of the best things that it has given its audience is ‘Bella Ciao’ the popular Italian protest folk song. While ‘Bella Ciao’ was already popular amongst Italians, the TV series increased its popularity throughout the world. Now, it’s everyone’s jam!
However, did you know that Bollywood already copied the tune of the song entirely way back in 2013 for the Ranbir Kapoor starrer movie ‘Besharam’?
Yes, this is true. A song from Besharam ‘Love Ki Ghanti’, which is composed by Lalit Pandit, is a complete rip-off of ‘Bella Ciao’.
‘Bella Ciao’ was first inspired by the plight of the paddy field workers in North Italy back in the 19th century, who sang it while working on the field in bad conditions. The song later became a symbol of resistance for the Italian Partisans against the German Nazis between 1943-1945.
On the other hand, ‘Love Ki Ghanti’, is a song that Ranbir Kapoor’s character in ‘Besharam’ sings after falling in love.

‘Bella Ciao’ has over 100 versions in the world. But guess, which is the Indian version. It’s our very own “love ki ghanti” from movie “tatti” sorry “Besharam”.
I mean how could you think to ruin such classics. Please Bollywood 🙏#MoneyHeist #BellaCiao #MoneyHeist4
