As Indians, we are fond of all things DIY and love to reach for kitchen ingredients to fulfill our beauty needs. We also are deeply connected with our traditions and culture and are sensitive towards appropriation, when it comes to it.
Recently, a video of a girl named Briana Christianson was discovered on Twitter in which she was seen using henna as a lip tint. People were amazed to see henna being used on lips when in general, it is used to apply Mehendi on hands with some intricate and beautiful designs.
People had mixed feelings about this “hack” video and were not sure what to say. While some took it lightly, others were deeply offended and demanded an explanation. Check out the reactions of the people below.
