Sobhita Dhulipala surprises fans with photos from her private Godhuma Raayi Pasupu ceremony with close friends & family.
Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya have kickstarted their much-awaited wedding festivities with the traditional Godhuma Raayi Pasupu ritual. This age-old Telugu ceremony begins a new chapter in their lives. And, just like her engagement announcement, Sobhita took her fans by surprise by sharing a series of stunning photos from the special day, giving everyone a glimpse into her celebration.
The Godhuma Raayi Pasupu ritual involves the symbolic application of turmeric and wheat flour paste, signifying blessings and prosperity for the bride and groom. Sobhita’s house was adorned with traditional decorations for the occasion, welcoming close friends and family who joined in the celebration.
She looked absolutely stunning in a vibrant pink silk saree, exuding elegance and charm. Staying true to the cultural vibe, she accessorized with traditional gold ornaments and draped her hair with fragrant jasmine flowers. Her smile lit up the ceremony as she radiated pure joy in each photo. Adding to her beautiful look were her green glass bangles—a symbol of auspiciousness—and her sparkling engagement ring, which she happily flaunted for the cameras.
She posted these candid moments with the caption, “And so it begins,” hinting at the exciting journey ahead. Fans were thrilled to see Sobhita reveling in the festivities, enjoying her time with her close friends and family, and seeking blessings from her elders for the journey ahead.
This traditional ceremony perfectly aligns with what Sobhita had envisioned for her wedding. In a past interview with Galatta India, she shared her thoughts on the kind of celebration she desired. “It’s interesting how you look at photographs of some wedding, you could tell this is from here, it represents this particular culture, this must be their roots, or this jewelry is from this part, you could piece together a story of heritage. It’s very beautiful,” she said. “I am not a minimal type of person. I mean that could be a mood or looks for some day, but I think for these ceremonial occasions, I like full fervor.”
After years of secretly dating, Sobhita and Naga Chaitanya got engaged on August 8, in a private ceremony that made headlines when Naga Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna, shared the first photos of the couple. Despite being in the limelight, the duo kept their relationship low-key, letting their fans enjoy the sweet surprises they dropped.
