After hearing much about KRYOLAN IKONIC GEL KAJAL on many blogs, I decided to go to the Kryolan Studio at Lajpat Nagar. In this sweltering Delhi heat I walked for at least 15 minutes as the parking around that lane is dug up, all thanks to the Delhi Metro.
On entering the beautiful studio I was in for a disappointment. Avik, the make-up artist at Kryolan City informed me that there is no kohl or eye pencil by the name of Ikonic. In fact Ikonic is a different company all together and the blogs are spreading a lie! (Some reporting I must say.)
Well I went ahead and brought a Faceliner in Shade No. 34 which is an eye and lip pencil in a nude shade with pink undertones. I wanted nude eyeliner for long.
Claims: Faceliner is a newly formulated pencil for application on eyes and lips. With a soft texture for delicate application, Faceliner is both gentle and incredibly durable.
Packaging: The pencil is a wooden school pencil style one and comes packaged in a blue box.
Price: The price is a modest 350 INR.
Pros: I wanted a nude shade for lining my eyes, black looks too harsh in summers. I think Faceliner is a must buy for all beauty aficionados as:
• The Kryolan Faceliner stays forever! Believe me I have tested it in sweaty sweltering Delhi heat and it won’t budge.
• I used this as a base for my lipstick and it helps lipstick stay for long.
• For its price the quantity offered is great.
· It has a dry creamy formulation but works amazingly well on oily eyelids.
• Can be sharpened with a normal pencil sharpener.
Cons: Availability is the biggest problem as it’s only available at Kryolan stores. In Delhi it’s located at Lajpat Nagar.
• Since it is dry, you need to tug it a bit on your eye lids.
Rating: 4/5. I love the colour, the price and the formulation. But people please stop calling IKONIC KRYOLAN, it cost me a trip to Lajpat Nagar!
