Success is often a benchmark of how much you can achieve and Priyank Sukhija is a maverick with his magical restaurants from the beautiful Lutyens to the majestic Hybrid. So we got chatting to him about success and more restaurants in the pipeline
Each restaurant has a different theme. How do you manage to make the look, feel & food of the place different from each other?
The idea is to think fresh. Every time you enter any of my establishments you well experience everything new from the concept, ambience, food to the fragrance of the place. All the restaurants thrive and co exist because they are dramatically different from each other.
What’s new?
Tamasha which is opening thus month is definitely new and I’m looking forward to the response it garners. Also pan India plans, we are slowly spreading wings in Mumbai and Pune.
How do you keep in planning, executing and making such successful restaurants?
The key is to unlearn. Every time I plan a new venture I unlearn what I know and start afresh. It’s easy to fall into a rut and plan overconfidently but to be humble and unlearning success is important.
This field is still dominated by men. Why?
I have no clue why! It’s a competitive and women friendly field. Many women are opening successful restaurants and I would welcome them to this field.
We have our roots in East Delhi and the food scene there is still bad. Any chances you will open a nice restaurant there?
Well, not right now. An average east Delhiite prefers to hang out outside East Delhi. So we are right there at CP.
