Breakfast is one of the most unexplored options in the city. I mean we have all at some point gone for the traditional bedmi poori or chole bhature. But to have a sit down heavy breakfast is usually restricted to hotels, so when I got a chance on a sunny February morning to try Uzzuri Deli n Bar’s breakfast buffet I was delighted.
It was a refreshing change to start the day talking to a favourite group of people and having fabulous food.
Ambience: The ambience here is a warm, cozy and Uzzuri gives you a feel of a place that you are comfortable walking in. With its wooden interiors and two levels sitting, Uzzuri is the perfect place to dine. It’s has a pastry bar too with fresh cakes and pastries.
Service: The service is prompt and quick. The waiters are very courteous and polite.
My experience: The special breakfast buffet includes a set buffet which has breads, flavoured butter & jams and much more. The breads were fresh and warm, the assorted butter adds appeal I loved the pesto variant and on a warm bread it tastes amazing! With a fresh glass of orange juice it is just perfect beginning to start your day.
Next we moved to the most anticipated eggs, I loved the scrambled eggs they were soft and melt in the mouth. The omlette is fluffy and tasty. The accompanying mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, fried bacon are a must. The bacon was done perfectly, crisp out soft inside. All drowned with a cup of steaming coffee and my Saturday was the brightest ever.
Next came a fresh out of the oven chocolate croissant, flakey, buttery and filled with gooey chocolate. It was the stuff my dreams are made of, mouth watering! The apple croissant was equally good and a must try. The pancakes are light, fluffy, sugary and topped with fresh fruits and honey. The waffles are also delicious. The crepes are stuffed with chocolate nutella and bananas, a sure shot hit combination and loved by all on the table.
They also have a cornflakes, chocos, cold milk, fruits and yogurt option.
The deserts post-breakfast are mini black velvet pastries( they are chocolate pastries stuffed with a subtle coconut flavours), I loved them. The banoffee is served in tarts and is also a mini single serve size pie, perfect to pick post breakfast.
Would I go again? I would highly recommend Uzzuri for a fun breakfast on weekends and a work meeting on weekdays. However, the veggie offerings are a bit lesser.
