Welcome to little London right in the middle of the bustling GK 1 M block market! Londoners of the place to go if you have studied or gone on a trip to London and miss it too much. It’s also a great party place! We went to Londoners one evening and the place stunned us with it’s amazing decor and a menu which relies on London and it’s rich colonial past to get the food right.
Ambiance: The white blue and red decor reminds you of the British flag with some well curated products across the restaurant to keep you excited! The place has two sitting levels and a beautiful terrace too. The theme is present everywhere from couches in three flag colors to the vintage knick knacs.
Food: Like I mentioned the food here relies on Britain’s past to make it perfect. So we first tried the Ploughmans platter that of essentially a tidbit tray to enjoy with chilled beer. So you have a yay with cold cuts, toast, butter, apricots, olives, cheddar cheese, radish and celery sticks. Mix them, eat them single it’s all your choice. It enhances the flavour of the beer. Scotch eggs are boiled eggs coated with mince and fried. I always wanted to try them however they have subtle spices.
London dragon spring rolls soft crunchy and yummy. The spring rolls pack a punch. Crispy eggplant in chilly bean is eggplant cut in finger shape fried and served with chilli bean sauce in top. Its great in taste but gets a bit oily. Good ol’ aloo touk is what Indians gave to the British land! It’s aloo pakora. Shepard’s pie is a cult classic in London, here however its done differently. Well made chicken sausages are served on a bed of mashed potato. The pie is a classic dish and the Indian twist makes it yummy. The Butter chicken pie and Paneer makhni pie are must haves.
Drinks: While all drinks take a page from London and are named so too, Oxford street and Kings road were great.
Meal for two: A meal for two would cost you close to INR 2000
