Niche is unlike the many recently opened places in Connaught Place. They have an air of exclusivity and you can feel that the moment you step inside Niche. I went here on a hot summer day and the cool interiors, drinks made my afternoon amazing.
{Niche} the brainchild of Tarun Arora plans to offer unique experiences on par with London and New York in his home city, Delhi making focal points of the usually overlooked finer points of what makes a world class venue.
Ambience: The plush interiors, subdued lighting and a lot of shaded natural light from their roof spell style. Niche has a lot of open space too making it a great evening or winter option. The main area has seating and a long bar, then there is a play area for gigs with a formal seating and two separate party areas. So they have thought of all the audience segments.
Must haves: The menu at Niche is a mix of Indian-esque dishes with western ethic, but the chef executes them beautifully! The African Daisy is already making all the noise hailed as one of the best cocktails ever, and it is worth a try. With its subtle alcohol and gentle fragrances it’s a wonderful concoction. The Dellinger is a refreshing summer cocktail and works well on a hot summer day.
Pulled Kathal Tacos is a beautifully prepared kathal or jackfruit dish with tacos and salsa.
Pappu Chicken a slightly spicy yet deliciously juicy grilled chicken. The juiciness will wow you!
Textured Beet and goat cheese salad had different textures of beet playing well with goat cheese.
Hari saag is a must must have for any saag lover. Hari saag is made of mustard greens with grilled vegetables, slightly sour polenta balls accompanied with maize bread and a crunchy chikki. It is the Indian meets international dish I have had in a long long time.
The meal was nicely rounded off with a beautiful cheesecake!
