Last week on a rainy Friday we decided to go and have a few drinks. We headed to the new entrant in GK 1 N block market Penthouse. Its wooden decor, in house Dj who belted out great numbers and the unique drinks made our time fun. Penthouse is a great place to spend time with friends and drink. The best part is that they serve awesome food to pair your drinks with.
Penthouse a modern lounge & Bar is located right in the heart of the most luxurious part of New Delhi – GK with Modern outlook combined with plush comfort.
Price for 2: Approx 2500 INR
Ambience: The bar which has been opened on the upper floors by Pout cafe is spread on two floors the outer deck is the top floor and the first floor has sitting, bar and a Dj console. The place is much
dark like every bar and the tables and chairs are all wooden inspired. When we went the bar the top deck was closed due to the rains.
Food: Their multi cuisine food deserves a special mention. Unlike most multi cuisine places this one tops my list. Their food is amazing! The dimsums need a special mention. Their Thai satay sticks and red curry are one of the best I have tasted. Their Indian is perfectly made juice tandoori chicken to stuffed chicken tangri. The food is well paired with drinks like black orange cooler. Their Cranberry cooler is sweet with a hint of creaminess its perfect drink for a mocktail person. The pear sangria was beautifully made. The pear was soft and tender it had absorbed the wine well.
Must try: the Koh Samui rolls are a better and lighter version of spring rolls. The dimsums are a must have they are well made and the non vegetarian ones are made in leaves. The sangria is a must try. The mushroom pocket is one of the yummy veg starter. Its cheese and mushroom purée that ooze’s and is deep fried with a crumbly layer on top. The Chicken Tangri kebab is super soft, juicy chicken which us cooked till its a bit rare so that the chicken retains it’s moisture.
Would I visit again: its a must visit for a girls night out.
PS they serve the same food at Pout cafe which is located downstairs.
Rating:4.5/5 it’s a must try!
