Yesterday we went for a bloggers’ lunch to Flluid restaurant by Mosaic Hotels. They gave us a chance to sample their February menu that has some exotic Thai delicacies. Located in busy streets of Noida, near GIP mall, this restaurant shall dish up Thai specialties from February 8, 2016.
Ambiance: The ambiance is nothing extraordinary but comfortably decent seating with long back chairs and plunge sofas. We were shown the new menu with the added Thai dishes. The hotel launched this section to meet up with needs of modern food lovers.
Food: We started with a juice served in a hip flask. The next to be served was a mildly spiced Thai High Satay: Grilled chicken with black pepper, lemon grass, galangal and kaffir lime. The taste was good as the flavor of galangal and black pepper was well blended with lemon grass. The Porpia Chae: a spring roll pastry, under wrapped vermicelli and vegetable. It was good, though could have been much better if the upper layer was a little thin.

The Tom Kha Phak: a spicy vegetable soup with coconut milk, seasoned with galangal was one of the serves which I actually loved having. It was pretty refreshing with vegetables like broccoli, cucumber etc. After this soup we had Som Tam: a spicy raw papaya salad with peanuts that balanced all the flavors of sweet, spicy, salty and sour. It was average.

Thai High Chicken: Chicken sauted in Thai high special sauce is a fabulous Thai preparation in sticky dressing was yummy and served with raw vegetables. One of the specialties of Thai food is big cuts of meat which I found apt here. Pla Tom Som: poached fish with ginger, lemon grass and onions was good but tasted more Japanese than Thai. It was nicely served with luscious texture.

Thai Flat Rice noodles was presented with a choice of vegetable or chicken. I chose vegetable and found it not-so-dry and not up to the mark. The Khao Phad Kraphaw: A rice dish with hot basil, you cannot imagine Thai food without rice. However, this was well below my expectations in terms of quality.

Finally the dessert arrived. The Coconut Mint Souffle was mousse in mint flavor with thin grated coconut. Mint was flooding in this dessert which ultimately disproportionated other flavors.

Meal for two:  The meal here would cost you within INR 999 ++ taxes. Overall this is a nice place this side of the town for business meetings, get together etc. Also it is well stocked with premium quality liquor in its small bar. The new menu is indeed revitalizing for non-vegetarians and vegetarians alike. The plating can be a bit better.
