Goan Shack Menu at Zamabar is a must visit
Missing Goa? While I cannot promise you a beach, sea, beer, I can promise you the perfect beach food right here in Gurgaon. Well Zamabar has a special Goan shack inspired menu and they are doing some awesome authentic dishes for you to try.
By shack food we mean those chocolate pancakes but also some perfect pork vindaloo to seasonal fish!
Ambience: Zambar is one of the classiest restaurants in Ambience Mall Gurgaon, or rather Gurugram. With a huge boat bang in the middle of the place, it truly screams costal.
What all to try: From some great starters to fingerlicking desserts, the menu for the Goan sojourn is beautiful. Chef Rabindra who has specially come from Goa for spearheading this festival makes some great and authentic dishes. The Bangda mackeral Reichado a classic Goa dish is a fish marinated with hot red masala and Goan toddy vinegar. It is a flakey yet flavoursome dish.
While sea food is the king of the Goan cuisine, I fell in love with their amazingly made pork vindaloo. The fiery red curry was beautiful and worked with rice and a host of Goan special breads. And then there are the staple prawn rice, prawn coated with semolina and some mushrooms. Though this menu has very little for vegetarians but then so does Goa!
Bebinca is a seven layer cake or pudding which is a Goan staple and brings back some great Goa memories of friends, sunshine and sea.
