Why a trip to Melbourne is must after this food!
Fresh produce and great taste is what makes Australian food the most coveted. And when we met Scott Pickett on his special India tour we were all set to be amazed. But he provided us a bigger surprise, the food was healthy and scrumptious. From a simple char grilled avocado to an avocado Valrona chocolate mousse, the meal was one of the best I have had!
Recreating a slice of Melbourne’s famous food and wine culture in India, Visit Victoria and award-winning Melbourne chef, restaurateur Scott Pickett hosted an exclusive gastronomic experience in Delhi at The Hyatt Regency.
Scott offered us a glimpse into Melbourne’s innovative cuisine and culinary flair. We also got to attend a masterclass where Scott taught us the beauty of using avocados. It was followed by a three course dinner inspired by Chef Pickett’s signature Melbourne restaurant, Estelle by Scott Pickett.
We were treated to a sumptuous three-course dinner that modeled some of the Estelle’s best-selling dishes like Barramundi Shallot, Soy & Bergonia and the yummy Valrhona chocolate mousse with avocado.
Melbourne has long been a melting pot of cultures from around the world, owing to which it has developed an ever-evolving, multi-cultural culinary scene.Melbourne was chosen to host the prestigious – ‘The World’s Best 50 Restaurants’ awards in April 2017 cementing the city’s position as Australia’s culinary capital and a global gastronomy destination. And Indian travelers are highly influenced by food when it comes to choosing a holiday destination.
