Witty Vodka
Ingredients
one-third cup pineapple juice
3 teaspoons superfine sugar
ice cubes
2 jiggers clove-infused vodka (3 ounces)
Directions
Mix pineapple juice with sugar in the bottom of an 8-ounce glass. Add ice and vodka; stir and serve. Makes 1 serving. garnish with lime wedge.
Rapid Rum
Ingredients
2 ounces Atlantico Rum
5 ounces beer
1.2 ounce lime juice
Drop of vanilla extract
Directions
Mix all the ingredients in a short beer glass filled ice and stir.
Champagne with a Blink
Makes: 8 servings
Preparation: 10 mins
Cook: 10 mins
Chill: 4 hrs
Ingredients
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup light-color corn syrup
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons finely snipped crystallized ginger
1/4 cup vodka
1 750ml bottle of champagne, chilled
Directions
– In a small saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and candied ginger. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
– Stir in vodka; cool to room temperature. Cover and chill for 4 hours or overnight.
– Strain the vodka mixture to remove the candied ginger; discard ginger.
– Pour vodka mixture into a large bowl. Slowly pour the champagne down side of bowl; stir gently with an up-and-down motion to mix.
– To serve, ladle punch mixture into champagne glasses or punch cups. Serve immediately. Makes 8 servings.
Twist
Ginger adds a peppery bite to this sparkling drink. For a nonalcoholic version, skip the vodka and champagne and use the ginger syrup with sparkling water or sparking cider.
