Weekend means insane partying and gulping lots of alcohol. Often this means the next day is ruined with you vomiting or getting a terrible hangover.
Hangover is worst after-effect of consuming alcohol. All of us have surely experienced it once. Hangover symptoms are nausea, dizziness, headache, and a bitter aftertaste. The best way to avoid hangover is to limit your alcohol intake drink and avoid mixing spirits. But we understand that a ladies night without martinis, wine and vodka shots are incomplete.
So for all those who got high yesterday, here are some ideas on how to cure a hangover.
Honey and lemons: They are the most common and popular remedies. Honey contains fructose and consuming honey s. Just have 2 -3 tablespoon of honey after waking up. Drinking fresh limewater with sugar helps too.
Coffee: Coffee is an effective remedy for hangover. Drink a cup of black coffee without sugar and add a few drops of lemon juice to it.
Eat greasy food: It’s difficult to eat after drinking but food absorbs the alcohol. But have solid food like rice, salad, chicken, unnecessary snacking will not help.
Banana: Bananas are your best friend in curing a hangover. Peeing after drinking drains out potassium from the body. Bananas help to replace the lost potassium. So just eat bananas the next morning.
Apple: Apples keep headache away. Eat apples on an empty stomach to cure headache and instant hangover relief.
Burnt Toast: Carbon acts like a filter in the body, it absorbs the alcohol. Eat a burnt toast before drinking to avert a hangover.
Ice or ice cold water: A perfect remedy for headache. Make a cold water flannel and place on forehead. You can also use crushed iced in a plastic bag wrapped in a dry towel to cure headache.
Eggs: Egg yolks contain cysteine which helps to get rid of hangover. Have an omelette or boiled egg the next morning.
Juices: Juices are high in vitamin C. This helps ease hangover symptoms. Consume fresh orange or tomato juice in the morning to cure hangover. In case of stomach upset opt for an apple juice.
Drink water: Dehydration causes discomfort. Increase your water intake to counter the affect of alcohol in the body. Consume more water the next morning. More means at least six to seven more not a measly one or two.
After-drink Pills: Many after-drink pills are available in the market to avoid and cure hangover. So just pop one of them.
