Hot chocolate is something we all associate with winters and those long dread-y foggy nights. But making hot chocolate with chocolate powder never used to makes us happy, it always tastes a tad to powder-y until we came across the perfect recipe and made hot chocolate this way is truly decadent. All you need is 5 minutes to making yourself a steamy cup of this goodness.
Ingredients:
3 spoons dark chocolate chips (readily available)
3 heaped spoons hot chocolate powder
2 spoons cream (amul works well)
2 cups milk (prefer full cream milk)
Sugar according to taste
A pinch of salt
A pinch of cinnamon
Recipe:
In a thick bottomed pan mix all ingredients except cream and keep on low heat stirring continuously.
As the milk starts to boil add cream. Use a hand blender, very carefully to mix and froth your hot chocolate, for about 30 seconds. Let it come to a full boil and keep on stirring to avoid burning.
As the milk boils take off heat and use your blender before serving to make it frothy.
To decorate ad some whipped cream or marshmallows and that yummy cup of hot chocolate is all ready!

Some things to remember:
The milk should not be too cold as this changes the taste of the hot chocolate.
Dark chocolate gives hot chocolate a kick while milk chocolate is best for kids.
Salt enhances the flavour, so never forget to add it.
