The name Hotmess suits this beautiful new property in CP perfectly, its hot and messes your senses with probably the best cocktails in town. One Saturday me and hubby decided to check out this new gem and I came out with a huge smile all thanks to the BEST SANGRIA in town.
Hotmess is located in the middle circle between the offices in Connaught Place making it a huge hit.
Ambience: The ambience has it’s own little quirk with emo girl posters and chandeliers but it’s classy. The seating also offers variety. Bar stools if you are there to drink with buddies, couches for a friends night out, regular seats for dining. You can take your pick according to your taste and need.
Drinks: I seriously cannot stop raving about the sangria which is specially prepared and bottled a day in advance. The sangria is a must must on my list, if you like your wine.
The cocktails here are also decent with great flavours which are not over powered by alcohol.
One for the highway whiskey based with a small hint on cinnamon and a huge hit for a cinnamon lover like me.
Imli patola is their unique tamarind based vodka infused cocktail. It truly is love at the first sip. The Mojito with rum and fresh mint comes packed in a polybag making it cute and perfect to have.
Sparkling daisy is a beautiful combination of beer with watermelon, vodka, and some sprigs of rosemary.
PS they do a special hookah cocktail, approved by the ministry, for you to smoke and drink at the same time. Infued with fresh fruit and your hookah smoke its a unique cocktail and a MUST try.
Food: The Garlic bread pull apart is a classic pintrest dish, we have all seen but never tried. It is cheesy, buttery and warm. The kinds which goes well when chatting with friends and want a quick nibble.
The burgers are a must try on my list, the burger is a bao of sorts stuffed with juicy mutton keema and served with a fermented chilli paste. ts juicy, tasty and not too bready as the bread absorbs the juices from the meat. Lemon coriander chicken skewers while hubby loved these, i am not a coriander fan so found it average. I loved the smokey taste the Bourbon smoked honey chicken offered.
Their pizza was being ordered on every table and I also tried the Chur Chur Pizza, the pizza unlike most is made on a puff pastry base which make it flaky, buttery and tasty. Topped with cheese, fresh red chilly, I loved the pizza. The deal is to eat it as hot as possible to enjoy its base.
The Nacho pencho is an Indianised nacho version, with rajma, sour cream and salsa. The Dahi kebab drumsticks are great veggie option, the bread is shaped into a drumstick filled with cheesy dahi mixture and worth a try.
The people at Hotmess have kept a limited main course option but the few options are well made and bang on in terms of taste. The butter chicken is delectable. But the dal makhni is a MUST try. Its not creamy and still buttery and yummy.
The banoffee is the perfect dessert to end your meal!
