Fried McCain goodies

A few days back we got many McCain goodies and decided to play with them and make some interesting new recipes. While I failed at making Chili potato bites into dum aloo we got a fabulous recipe.

Incidentally we had guests and wanted to serve the McCain stuff to them too, so I ended up making some sauces super quickly and they made the food taste amazing. In fact I had to fry two more batches. Here are the recipes

Honey Chilli Potato
1 small packet Mc Masala Fries
Vegetables diced 1 cup (onion, capsicum, carrots, spring onion, cauliflower)
2 tsp soya sauce
2 tsp vinegar
Honey chilli potato2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp crushed garlic
Salt, chilly powder To taste
a pinch of red colour mixed in 1 tbsp water

Method:

Fry the Masala Fries. Keep aside.
In a hot wok add oil and when oil is hot add honey.
When honey starts bubbling add crushed garlic.
After the garlic gets slightly golden brown add the vegetables and move them in the wok on high flame. Add all the sauces and seasoning.
When the vegetables are slightly softer (you want the crunch) add the colour mixed water and cook till no water remains.
Add the fries. Mix well.
Serve immediately.

While you get all kinds of sauces in the market to serve your fries with but we decided to give you some quick to make sauces at home and serve to your guests.

Mint mayonnaise
In a grinder, add some mint leaves, salt, pepper, amchur and blend. Now mix this paste with mayonnaise.

Chilly thousand island sauce
While the market bright is yummy this instant version tastes better as you can make it according to your tastes. Simply mix ketchup and mayonnaise in a 1:2 ratio. I prefer chilly ketchup.

Honey garlic mustard
In a microwave proof bowl mix paste of one pod of garlic and a pinch of butter. Microwave it for 10 seconds. When it cools add a teaspoon of honey, teaspoon of mustard sauce and 2 tablespoon mayonnaise with a pinch of salt.
