Similarly, in the world of fashion and beauty, when it comes to hair care, so many people want to grow their hair fast and have luscious locks and for that, many hair hacks have gone viral.
Some of these trends were doable but a few questionable ones stuck with us and now we wonder, why anyone would even think of doing that?
Here are some of the weirdest things people have put in their hair over the years.
1.Cayenne pepper
It is supposed to stimulate hair growth by causing a tingling sensation that increases blood flow.
2. Fish oil
It is fortified with omega-3 fatty acids that can be nourishing but leaves behind a rotten smell that can be hard to get rid of.
3. Mayonnaise
The fat content in mayo is supposed to be nourishing, strengthen hair and reduce frizz. These results can be achieved with a good quality hair conditioner as well.
4. Super Glue
A lady went viral for using an adhesive as a substitute for hair spray and had to be taken to the hospital to get the glue surgically removed.
5. Coco cola
People have used coca-cola on hair to get shinier locks but were left with sticky ends.
6. Red wine
People have used a glass of wine on their hair in the hope it would strengthen their hair but there are much more affordable alternatives for that.
