Vert is a newly launched vegan line of makeup and skin care products. When it was launched it piqued my curiosity, as Vegan makeup in India is hardly available. Vert products stand out as they are 100% Vegetarian, natural and contain no Parabens. Here’s my experience with the Pomegranate Extract & Shea Butter Body Lotion:
Claims: Nourish your skin with this gentle & smooth body lotion loaded with the goodness of Pomegranate & Shea Butter Pomegranate is an essential ingredient for damaged skin; it promotes the production of collagen & elastin thereby reducing the appearance of Wrinkles. While Shea butter is a moisturising antioxidant which not only protects you from the damage of UV Rays but also re-generates & strengthens your skin.
Packaging: The Vert lotion is packaged in a plastic bottle, while I got a small one for the review which had a plastic screw top, the bigger bottle comes with a pump dispenser.
Instructions of use: Twist pump counter-clockwise to open from locked position. Simply pump lotion into the hand and massage into skin to moisturise and nourish. Apply liberally as often as required. Caution: As avoid contact with eyes. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with clean water. For external use only.
Price: A 190 ml of the Pomegranate Extract & Shea Butter Body Lotion costs 850 INR
Pros of Vert Pomegranate Extract & Shea Butter Body Lotion:
- What excited me was the fragrance of the lotion. It stays all day long. However some people might find it strong.
- The lotion is emollient you need very little for the entire body, which justifies the price.
- Absorbs super quickly and you do not need a long massage time.
- The texture of the Vert Pomegranate Extract & Shea Butter Body Lotion is a bit runny which helps in its even application.
- The pink coloured lotion looks cute!
- Even though it is vegan it has a shelf life of one year.
Cons of Vert Pomegranate Extract & Shea Butter Body Lotion:
- Availability is an issue.
- The bottle is difficult to carry as it is not leak proof.
- The fragrance may be an issue for some.
- Expensive, even though it lasts really long.
