Everyone has a day skin-care and night time routine but have you ever thought about the care your skin needs as you exercise and sweat? While working out your skin sweats and glows but if you do not follow proper hygiene, gymming can give you acne too! Here are some gymming skin care tips every woman must know:

No Makeup

You must know how weird runny kajal can look, while working out! There is no point to use any heavy makeup product when you hit the gym as it will sweat off and make your skin look patchy. Work out bare faced and enjoy the post work out glow. Cannot go out without makeup? Try a lip and cheek tint (like Benetint) but apply a little or after workout you might resemble a tomato.

Avoid ‘gym acne’

When you gym the skin sweats and not washing your face (and neck) post workout leads to open pores which accumulate dust and make your face prone to gym acne. After workout session splash some normal water on your face and neck. Also wash your face with a facewash when you reach home.

Be gentle

Sweating makes the skin sensitive so avoid scrubbing (your face or your body) post-workout. Use a gentle cleanser and always hit the shower once the sweat has dried off completely.

No hot water showers

Yes you slaved and worked out and it looks like you earned that relaxing hot shower. But beware your skin will not thank you for it. A hot shower strips the skin of vital oils making it dry, itchy and unhappy.

Carry your skincare

Sure you carry your tee and shoes in the bag but it makes sense to carry face wipes, a face wash and a sun screen in your bag too.

Rehydrate

While gymming sweat makes your body lose a lot of water, so ensure you guzzle plenty of water to re-hydrate it. Also moisturise as soon after showering to hydrate and lock in moisturiser in your skin.
