Moisturize away: Moisturizing your skin is very important to make the makeup set. Apply your moisturiser at least a good 10 minutes before makeup to let the skin absorb it.
Invest in a quality primer: Get a good primer and apply it on your face. A primer creates a canvas for the makeup to set and look perfect. It also acts as a protective barrier and doesn’t let your dry skin show.
Buy Creamy based products: Prefer a cream based foundation, eyeshadow, concealer and blushers. A cream based cosmetic would not tug your skin and make it itch. Use a foundation which has a hint of shimmer as it will highlight your face while hiding dry spots. Stay away from compact, dry blushes and tints as they increase dryness on the face.
Lip Care: Many people complain of dry and chapped lips. Lipsticks look horrible on dry lips. To get soft and smooth lips exfoliate and apply a coat of lip balm before you begin your makeup. Afterwards dab extra lip balm on a tissue and apply a layer of lipstick. If your lips are parched stay away from matte lip sticks, gloss is your best bet.
