Celeb chef Vikas Khanna launches the new range of Quaker products
We all know the importance of healthy, complete and nutritious breakfast. But often due to changing and rushed lifestyles, time constraint and lack of good cooking skills we sometimes skip this most important meal of the day. But soon, this is going to change and let us tell you how.
Quaker Nutri Foods range was launched yesterday in Delhi by Celebrity Chef and PepsiCo Nutrition Brand Ambassador, Vikas Khanna. The range includes Nutri Upma, Nutri Dosa, Nutri Khichdi and Nutri Idli. The range is quick to prepare with balanced nutrition and with familiar/local taste. It is rightfully called as Back to my breakfast or back to roots. While developing the product range, they have kept in mind the palette of Indian customer, rushed lifestyles, wholesome nutrition and have come up with products which can be easily cooked by everyone.
Nutri Upma – Powered with 40% oats and cooks in 5 minutes. The chef gave us a live cooking demo. It cooks in less than 5 minutes and was delicious too.
Nutri Dosa – Powered with 51% oats and cooks in 7 minutes. You just need to add water and well beaten curd to it. We absolutely loved the flavor and texture of this dosa.
Nutri Khichdi – Powered with 48% oats and cooks in 6 minutes.
Nutri Idli – Powered with 56% oats and cooks in 14 minutes.
Chef Vikas Khanna made an exciting new dish using Nutri Idli mix – Jackfruit Idli . The chef used beetroot juice and curd instead of water and jackfruit filling in nutri mix to give a new makeover to plain old idli. The idli was served on a peanut and coconut sauce. It looked divine and had a perfect balance of textures and flavors. We also learned that idli can be cooked or steamed in any normal steel bowl. Also he suggested that we can substitute water with almond milk or vegetable stock to increase the nutrition content of the dishes.
Anyone who loves cooking and likes to experiment, this range offers a good base to create exciting and healthy breakfast options. So what are you waiting for, let’s get cooking.
