Nana Patekar had reportedly sent MNS goons to trouble Tanushree Dutta:
Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta is already in the headlines nowadays because of the recent statement she gave in an interview. The actress revealed that famous actor Nana Patekar tried to sexually harass her on the sets of the movie Horn Ok Please. She has also exposed that he allegedly asked the director to add an intimate dance of her with him in the song.
Although it took Tanushree 10 years to face the horrid truth while many B-town actors supported her, what appalled us was the behavior of many. The actress had also told the media that she had informed about this incident to choreographer Ganesh Acharya and he too admitted knowing about it, recently. As per the actress statements, even after 10 years, she is still being legally harassed by Nana Patekar and no actions have been taken.
Nana Patekar has denied the allegations and has said that Tanushree is like my daughter. Currently, Nana is in Jaisalmer to shoot for Sajid Khan’s Housefull 4. Tanushree is ready to fight against him and has also called him “bluffmaster gogo”.
Already so much controversial and confusing statements have brainstormed everyone’s mind. Along with this, a recent video of Tanushree Dutt’s car attack in 2008 has shocked many. She and her parents were attacked by a mob of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) party workers on the sets of the film. In the footage it is clearly seen how the mob is trying to break the glass of her car, climbing on it and taking out the air from the tires. Mumbai police came to rescue the diva and her family. Tanushree told the media that after refusing to do an intimate scene with him, Nana called the MNS party to trouble them.
Check out the footage here:
Here are some of the B-town’s comments on it:
I don’t know what happened exactly. But I think there shouldn’t be any kind of violence or pressure on any person, whether male or female, at workplace. I feel pained that she has been through so much of trauma: Shilpa Shetty on Tanushree Dutta’s allegations against Nana Patekar pic.twitter.com/rLtt4BYAB2

Agreed..the world needs to #BelieveSurviviors https://t.co/ia82UsCkkq

I agree too. Survivors are survivors because they have dealt with something and come out on the other side. So believe them, respect them. @janiceseq85 #TanushreeDutta https://t.co/L6bxaG5HPk

This thread is very telling. @janiceseq85 was there at the time of the incident being debated today. Even when #TanushreeDutta had career concerns to keep quiet 10 years ago she did not & her story hasn’t changed now. Her courage should be admired, not her intention questioned. https://t.co/Ola3MNdmtS

I believe #TanushreeDatta and @janiceseq85 recollection of the account. Janice is my friend, and she is anything but an exaggerator or a liar. And it’s upto us to stand together. https://t.co/sF3mS5o1P8

Many of my co-workers,female and male have been harassed and bullied, but it’s their story to tell. If we don’t encourage their voices and instead vilify and question them, how will victims ever become survivors? Let them speak up! Stand up with them!

It hurts to be #TanushreeDutta rn. To be alone, questioned. No woman wants publicity that opens the floodgates of trolling and insensitivity. What happened to her on set was intimidation. Her only fault was she didn’t back down-takes a special courage to be #TanushreeDutta.

Please read this thread. We all know the reality of the power imbalance that exists in the workplace. Let us encourage these voices instead of shaming them so that others may have the strength to come forward. https://t.co/5NefCpWpCs
