Akshay Kumar released two posters of his upcoming film ‘Rustom’ in which he plays a Naval officer. The new poster intrigues and increases curiosity levels. The poster also has a line written below, ‘3 Shots That Shocked The Nation’. Reportedly, the film is based on the Nanavati Scandal that rocked the nation in 1950s.
A decorated naval officer, KM Nanavati shot his wife’s lover when he had refused to marry her. The case was publicized and Nanavati held guilty by jury but the verdict was upheld and he was released from the jail.
Akshay’s film ‘Rustom’ releases in August on Independence day.
