Daughter of ace filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, 22 year old Alia made Bollywood debut with ‘student of the year’. After delivering critically acclaimed film like Highway, Alia said “I am confident about craft of acting but not over-confident. There is always a little bit of nervousness before a project.” Though Alia has gained a lot of popularity but her family helps her to remain grounded. “If my family doesn’t like anything about my work, they tell me straight. It’s good to have honest opinions around you.” Said Alia.
Talking about her upcoming film Kapoor and Sons, she quoted that this is the story of a dysfunctional family where Grandfather (Rishi Kapoor) is forcing everyone to stay together. Shakun Batra is a young director who intelligently catches the nerves of present generation. His treatment with story is new and different which voices the perspective of today’s relationships.
