With the #MeToo campaign doing rounds everywhere, here is how celebrities are questioning its authenticity:
-
- After being accussed with sexual harassment by a journalist, Union Minister MJ Akbar has filed a defamation suit against her. The case filed names journalist Priya Ramani as the sole accused. It also states that Priya “intentionally put forward malicious, fabricated and salacious” news to defame India’s junior foreign minister. Priya Ramani further said she is “deeply disappointed” and is “ready to fight the allegations of defamation”. Many have also come forward in Priya’s support. Here is what MJ Akbar said:

- After Vinta Nanda’s sexual assault allegations against Alok Nath stating the actor raped her 19 years ago, Alok Nath’s wife Ashu Singh has moved to the court against writer-director Vinta Nanda. Alok Nath has filed a defamation case against her. Not only Vinta but actress Navneet Nishan also came in her support and said he had also harassed her earlier.
- Filmmaker Luv Ranjan who was accused by an actress for sexual harassment now gets the support of actress Nushrat Barucha. She in a post shared on Twitter said the filmmaker never made her feel awkward and has always stood up for girls. Here is what she wrote in support of Luv Ranjan:

- With #MeToo movement everywhere over Bollywood, Sajid Khan has been accused of sexual harassment by three women. On this news cousin Farhan Akhtar had reacted saying “I cannot adequately stress how shocked, disappointed and heartbroken I am to read the stories about Sajid’s behaviour. I don’t know how but he will have to find a way to atone for his alleged actions.” On his reaction people trolled him saying he did not know Sajid’s behavior despite being his cousin. No sooner after people trolled him for that, Shibani Dandekar came to Farhan’s defense. The news of Farhan and Shibani dating each other has been doing rounds on internet since long. Recently, Farhan shared the same picture shared by Shibani earlier on his Instagram and we feel he has finally made it official.
This is what Farhan had posted:

This is how Shibani reacted to haters:
Instead of holding the culprit responsible for gross misconduct are we really blaming and shaming family members for not knowing???? really??

- The next one is Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan who seems like questioning the authenticity of #MeToo. News agency IANS quoted her as saying, “I honestly don’t want to comment on this issue much but I definitely feel that there is lot of pretence, false allegations and sort of crazy behaviour,” She also added, “They are using the platform badly and it’s not a good thing. If they use platform correctly then, it’s supposed to be good thing. They shouldn’t make allegation on an individual without any legal evidence,” Sussanne statement came after Kangana Ranaut accused Vikas Bahl who is also the director of Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 of sexual harassment.
Recently, actress Sushmita Sen who interacted with media at the Bombay Times Fashion Week said she is not at all shocked with the #MeToo campaign and that people were aware of these things before as well.
