The Garba season is HERE!!
It is that time of the year when the entire country is beautifully lit up and all you can see are people moving their feet and dandiya sticks to some amazing beats.
Dressed up in their dazzling ghagra choli and dhotis everyone can be seen enjoying the festive season. Garba is a traditional Gujrati folk dance, which features Gujarati music. Since not all of us can understand Gujarati, but love to play dandiyas so we at AAW lists few Bollywood garba songs:
Chogada (Loveyatri, 2018)
This song marks the debut of Salman’s brother in law Aayush. The movie might be a sinking ship but we love the peppy lyrics this number has!
Dholi Taro Dhol Baje (Hum dil de chuke sanam; 1999):
No dandiya night is complete without this song. This song can make you move till you drop. One of the oldest and famous Bollywood garba song, it stars the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and the handsome Salman Khan.
Yehi Hai Pyar (Aa ab laut chalen; 1999)
This is another old Bollywood song that needs to be on the list. The song stars Aishwarya Rai Bhachchan, Akshaye Kanna and Suman Ranganathan. The trio are seen showing some amazing dandiya steps.
Shubhaarambh (Kai po che; 2013):
This song is the perfect blend of modern as well as Gujarati music. Not only this, it also have a mix of Hindi and Gujarati lyrics making it a desirable garba song.
Gunji Aangna Mein Shehnai (Life partner; 2009):
This crowd pulling song can make you groove all night long. The song was inspired by an original folk song, with Sunidhi Chauhan’s bold voice. This song can make you go wild and try some classy moves.
Lahu Munh Lag Gaya (Goliyon ki rasleela Ram Leela; 2013):
This song fits best for Holi as well as a garba night. This sensual yet upbeat song will have you running towards the dance floor.
