We can hear the wedding bells ringing! After weeks of speculations regarding the much-awaited Bollywood marriage of Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor, it has finally been confirmed. The marriage is scheduled for May 8th which was confirmed in a joint statement from the Kapoor and Ahuja families.
It read “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives,”

Sonam and Anand’s wedding was on the trending list for the last few days, as there were rumours about when the beautiful couple would finally announce it. It became more obvious when Sonam’s home was decorated with festive lights and it could be easily seen by passers-by.
Paparazzi also clicked celebrities like Farah Khan, Karan Johar and Masaba Gupta dropping by Anil Kapoor’s home. Anand Ahuja is a Delhi-based fashion and a lifestyle entrepreneur.
When Anil Kapoor was asked about his daughter’s wedding he said, “Media has always been with me and my family when we began our careers. We will share everything at the right time. You all will know very soon. We won’t hide these details. You will know why there is lighting outside the house.”
Apart from her marriage celebrations, Sonam is also busy with promotional duties of Veere Di Wedding, and will soon walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14 and May 15 after her wedding.
