Delhi, NCR witness rain: People tweet videos and images:
Delhi experienced the most rainfall in a single day during the month of July in more than four decades. The national capital witnessed the first significant downpour of the season on Saturday and the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a “yellow alert” for Sunday. The city saw 153 mm of rain in 24 hours, the third-highest rain on a July day since 1958 and the most since 1982. Since the rainfall started, many people took to Twitter to share their reactions.
The city witnessed water logging in various areas including, Mandi House, Rafi Marg, Feroz Shah Road, and Lodhi Estate.
Due to the extreme rainfall schools are shut in Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Haryana.

Several individuals from Delhi expressed their grievances on social media regarding the water accumulation on roads, flooded underpasses, and even markets.
The IMD department has also issued a yellow alert for the national capital, Delhi in the coming week. A warning has been issued for people living in the low-lying area. Yellow alert denotes – watch and stay updated – warning of IMD.
