Television actors share their Diwali celebration plans, memories  and much more.

Diwali is never the same if not celebrated with your family. It is that time when my entire family gets together first for the Dhanteras puja and then for the main Diwali puja. We have a family dinner where we get together to burst crackers and gorge on sweets.

Since childhood Diwali for me was all about crackers and fireworks but now it’s about spending time with my parent’s and loved ones. This Diwali is really special to me as I am planning to gift mom something really special.

Diwali is the festival I always look forward to. Decorations through lights and flowers altogether create a beautiful ambiance. I, too, decorate my house and make rangoli. I will be visiting my friends’ place to eat homemade sweets cooked by them.

This festival of lights always brings out the festive side in me. Decorating my home by lighting candles,diyas and lights is a lot of fun. During this season, visiting friend houses for pre diwali parties and playing cards is full of excitement. Doing a puja with the family and eating all the yummy sweets is how I spend my Diwali. Wishing everyone to stay safe and enjoy this festival to the fullest.

• Rajashri Thakur as Maharani Jaiwanta bai from Maharana Pratap:

Diwali is one festival that I wait for the entire year. It’s a festival of so many lights, different colors,new clothes, gifts, lots of sweets, and phatake, although I burst very few crackers just in the name of tradition. I love to spend Diwali with my family. This Diwali I am planning to shop a lot and give special gifts to my loved ones.

• Aashka Goradia as Maharani Dheer Bai (Bhatiyani) from Maharana Pratap:

Diwali is my favorite time of the year. From Dhanteras to Bhaiduj, I love all of it. Sparklers, diyas andthe happiness of being together with family fill so much happiness in our lives. I love shopping for new clothes, bursting crackers and also the fact that we get to eat so many sweets.

Diwali is the only true pan India festival. I make it a point to celebrate Diwali with my family and also I eat my heart out. I enjoy visiting friends and relatives and spend time in playing cards all these days. I wish a great Diwali to all my viewers, friends and fans. Have a great year.

Diwali is a festival to spend time with family and close friends. I have a small pooja at home and then catch up with family, friends and their kids. We eat good meal, burst few crackers and play cards. Hope this Diwali too would be full of enjoyment.

Diwali for me means buying new clothes, performing laxmi puja, making sweets and spending some special time with my loved ones. Every Diwali I decorate my house with kandil’s and my sister makes rangoli.   I look forward to Bhai-Duj as I can spend time with my sisters and be with them. Diwali is allabout celebration and meeting your friends and family.  I would like to wish all my fans a happy and a safe Diwali.

For the past 10 years I have been shooting on the Diwali, I like to work on auspicious days. After my shoot gets done I perform laxmi puja at my house which is followed with a small family get together. Diwali for me is about lights, delicious food and family time. I plan to do the same this year too!

Diwali is one of my favorite times in the year. I love the whole atmosphere around us. Diya’s lit around our colony, the lighting and the happiness of being together with my friends and family is why it makes Diwali all the more special to me.
