Ayesha Takia who is married to Farhan Azmi the son of politico Abu Azmi is embarrassed by the careless sexist remarks by her father in law. In a talkathon Abu Azmi said that girls should not be seen in public with friends (male) and that extensive interaction between the two has accelerated the rape incidents.
Abu Azmi uttered these remarks in light of the Delhi rape case. He further added that movies also add fuel to the fire and provoke rapists!
Ayesha has distanced herself from her father in laws remarks but the damage has been done as her sister is getting married. Ayesha’s sister Natasha is getting married to a foreigner.
