The 69th edition of the Filmfare Awards marked the commencement of Bollywood’s award season, with the ceremony taking place in Gujarat over the weekend. Esteemed celebrity couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor clinched top acting honors at this year’s event. Alia Bhatt was honored with the Best Actress award for her performance in “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” while Ranbir Kapoor secured the Best Actor award for his outstanding role in “Animal.”
The film “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, dominated the evening by winning a total of 6 trophies. Vidhu Vino Chopra’s “12th Fail” emerged as a big winner, securing prestigious awards such as Best Film and Best Director. In the Critics category, Vikrant Massey received the Best Actor award for “12th Fail.” Additionally, Rani Mukherji and Shefali Shah jointly received the Best Actress (Critics) award for their roles in “Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway” and “Three Of Us,” respectively.
