Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan are celebrating 40 years of blissful togetherness today. The couple got married on June 3, 1973 and have two children Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Nanda.
Amitabh met Jaya on the sets of Guddi, in which Amitabh had a guest appearance, the two fell in love and as they say the rest is history. They couple gave many hits together like Zanjeer, Chupke Chupke, and Sholay.
Amitabh who is active on social networking sites took to his micro blogging page and thanked thus well-wishers for wishing him happy anniversary. He also posted a collage on his facebook page (see left) and wrote, “Its June 3, 2013 and a time to acknowledge 40 years of marriage .. June 3, 1973 .. seems just like yesterday!!”
