Reports say that Deepika Padukone has been finalised for Shah Rukh Khan’s next production Happy New Year. Many fans were expecting the SRK-Kat jodi will recreate their Jab Tak Hai Jaan chemistry.
But Katrina Kaif has declined the movie as she recently signed two new films; one with Kabir Khan opposite Saif Ali Khan and Abhishek Kapoor’s adaptation of Great Expectations so she has no time left.
In fact sources say Farah’s initial decision to cast a new face led to the delay and in the meanwhile Katrina had already signed the two films. The character in Happy New Year is a fast-talking Marathi girl and a bar dancer.
