Here is how a school in Hangzhou, China is teaching kids to practice social distancing.
The previous epicenter of coronavirus pandemic, China is getting up on its feet and the government still expects people to take utmost precaution to curb the spread of coronavirus. A school in the city of Hangzhou made sure that social distancing norms are being followed and for that, the teachers came up with a creative way.
The first graders were made to wear protective headgears as the hats have a 3-foot long rod made using soft material which helps maintain distance from their peers. Eileen Chengyin Chow, the professor who shared the pictures also explained the historic context of this headgear.

The long horizontal plumes on Song Dynasty toppers were supposedly to prevent officials from conspiring sotto voce with one another while at court—so social distancing was in fact their original function! pic.twitter.com/0AOKsWE1xH

The photos quickly went viral. Here is what people had to say about this creative way to ensure social distancing between school kids.
I keep having trouble imagining how kids can be in school together and keep a safe distance. This is the first time I’ve seen an idea of how to seriously address it! Pretty awesome.
