Bollywood actor and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar with actress and singer Shibani Dandekar tied the wedding knot on Saturday at Farhan’s parents’ house, Sukoon. Taking to Instagram, the couple has officially shared their wedding pictures on Wednesday morning.
With a carousel of pictures capturing their memorable moments, Farhan wrote, “A few days ago, @shibanidandekar & I celebrated our union and we are deeply grateful to all those who did respect our need for privacy on the day. The celebration, however, is incomplete without sharing some precious moments with you and seeking your blessings as we begin our journey across the skies of time, together. With love from us to you.”

The couple received a lot of good wishes and congratulatory comments and messages on their wedding pictures where Shibani also uploaded two separate posts with captions “Hey there husband” and “Mr & Mrs”.
The wedding was attended by various Bollywood celebs such as Rhea Chakraborty, Anusha Dandekar, Zoya Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Farah Khan, Amrita Arora and many others.

Farhan in his black indo-western attire and Shibani in a red gown with a veil tied vowed and famous singer Shankar Mahadevan gave an extra edge to the moment by singing the title song of Dil Chahta Hai. Adding to this, Javed Akhtar also recited a poem for the couple as a blessing for their new beginnings.
The newlywed couple met in 2015 on the sets of a reality show called I Can Do That In where Shibani was the contestant and Farhan was the host of the show. They were rumoured to be dating after the completion of the show in 2018 while attending Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding reception together.
