IRCTC’s reply triggered meme fest:
At times we don’t know we are the ones to be blamed for the reason we are pointing out others. Recently, something similar happened with an IRCTC’s (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) website user named Anand Kumar. He saw vulgar and obscene advertisements appearing on the official railway websites and thus he informed about the same to the higher authorities.
He shared several screenshots of the advertisement on twitter with a caption “Obscene and vulgar ads are very frequently appearing on the IRCTC ticket booking app. This is very embarrassing and irritating.” Tagging various official Twitter handles, including Railway minister Piyush Goyal, he asked them to “kindly look into” the matter.
Check out his post here:

The epic part was one of the IRCTC’s official’s reply on this matter. He wrote “Irctc uses Googles ad serving tool ADX for serving ads. These ads use cookies to target the user. Based on user history and browsing behaviour ads are shown. Pl clean and delete all browser cookies and history to avoid such ads.”In short the entire situation happened because of Anand Kumar’s browsing behaviour.
