Barkha Dutt shared the news of her father’s sad demise on Twitter.
Barkha Dutt took it to Twitter and informed people of her father, SP Dutt’s demise. He was father to Bahar and Barkha Dutt and passed away on 27th April, Tuesday.
She thanked people at Medanta hospital, where he was admitted and appreciated the efforts of every staff member involved. Take a look at the tweet below:
The kindest, loveliest man I have every known, my father Speedy, lost the COVID battle and died this morning. When I took him to hospital, against his will, I promised I would bring him home in two days. I couldn’t keep my word. I failed. He never broke a promise he made to us pic.twitter.com/ZUDwoa1LDa

She shared memories of her father and wants to remember him as an ‘eccentric scientist’ and appreciates him for giving her and her sister wings.
The family struggled to find an ambulance and oxygen and after some efforts, they were able to admit father SP Dutt, Medanta Hospital.
Many people came forward and shared their condolences.
