Virat Kohli and fans hail MS Dhoni’s Last-Over performance:
The hero always remains the hero, MS Dhoni produced a vintage knock as he made 18 runs off in just six deliveries against Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 qualifier. He took CSK into the finals for the 9th time in IPL history. He scored 13 off the last over bowled by Tom Curran to help CSK beat DC by 4 wickets. Ever since his performance, fans are hailing him, current Indian team captain Virat Kohli also expressed his feelings after watching Dhoni smash the ball to all parts of the ground to finish the match.
He tweeted: “Anddddd the king is back the greatest finisher ever in the game. Made me jump Outta my seat once again tonight. @msdhoni,”.

Even Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta too hailed Dhoni for leading from the front.
“Wow what a match. My heart goes out to the young #DC team. Hard luck boys & all the best for the next game. Tonight belonged to #CSK. #Dhoni the finisher leading from the front, inspiring his players to give their best & keeping his cool at all times #DCvsCSK
@IPL #Finisher,” she wrote in her tweet.

Chasing 173 for the win, CSK were off to a poor start as they lost Faf du Plessis in the first over. Robin Uthappa and Ruturaj Gaikwad then added 110 runs for the second wicket to set the platform for the chase. Dhoni then played a cameo hitting three boundaries in the final over off Tom Curran to take his side home with two balls to spare.
Here’s how Twitterati reacted to MS Dhoni’s heroic performance:

Om Finishaya Namaha !
Great win from Chennai. Ruturaj Top class, Uthappa classy and Dhoni showing how important temparement is. Great win for @ChennaiIPL and what a fightback to reach the finals after the show last season.— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) October 10, 2021
Top effort from Robin Uthappa, Ruturaj Gaikwad. And what a finish from MSD. Did DC miss a trick by giving Tom Curran the final over? Could they have given Rabada the final over? #DCvsCSK

Also Dhoni seals a place in his 10th IPL final around the same time as Chhetri goes level with Pelé in terms of international goals. Living legends! https://t.co/CuV6JxHBvM
