Bollywood’s Heartthrob Rishi Kapoor dies at the age of 67, succumbs to cancer:
It was just one day that we lost an extraordinary actor Irrfan Khan, and the film fraternity lost another actor. The legendary actor, the original chocolate boy of Bollywood Rishi Kapoor passed away at the age of 67. The actor was unwell for a while and was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai Wednesday night. Neetu Kapoor and Ranbir had been with him constantly. His co-star Amitabh Bachchan shared the news of his demise and tweeted: I am destroyed.
This is a terrible week for Bollywood and the entire nation.
Earlier this year, Rishi Kapoor was shooting for a film in Delhi when he fell ill and was hospitalized. Later he was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. As per reports, he was battling cancer relapse. The actor returned to India last September after undergoing treatment for cancer in the US for almost a year.

After being hospitalized in Delhi, Mr. Kapoor tweeted, “Dear family, friends, foes, and followers. I have been overwhelmed by all your concern about my health. Thank you. I have been filming in Delhi past 18 days and because of the pollution and my, I caught an infection whereby I had to be hospitalized.” He also revealed that doctors had found a patch on his lungs that could have led to pneumonia.
He was Raj Kapoor’s third born, after Randhir and later Ritu Nanda, he was older to Reema Jain and Rajeev Kapoor.
The actor was last seen in Emraan Hashmi’s The Body and had recently announced his next project, a remake of Hollywood film The Intern, starring Deepika Padukone.
He started his career as a child actor and has done approximately 130 films. He was part of hit films such as Bobby, Amar Akbar Anthony, Laila Majnu, Rafoo Chakkar, Sargam, Karz, Prem Rog, Chandni, Heena, Karz, Bol Radha Bol, Saagar and others.
Rishi Kapoor is survived by his wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir and daughter Riddhima. Bollywood has lost a gem, leaving behind his legacy.
