After setting the screen on fire with Ram-Leela, rumoured lovebirds Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are set to romance onscreen again. Deepika will essay the role of historical character Mastani with Ranveer Singh playing Bajirao Peshwa in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani.
The casting of Ranveer and Deepika puts an end to months of speculation about who would play the role. For Mastani’s role many actresses from Kareena Kapoor to Katrina Kaif were considered. Initially Sanjay Leela Bhansali was keen on Deepika but she refused due to lack of dates.
However, Deepika made a special effort to accommodate Bajirao Mastani into her schedule. So lets see if the couple can recreate the magic again.
