The khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar was blessed with a baby girl recently. After 40 days the actor and his wife Twinkle kept a special pooja at home on Novemeber 3. This pooja was reportedly the official naamkaran ceremony of the lil one.
Akshay and Twinkle zeroed in on the name Nitara which means ‘having deep roots’. The little one is called Nitara Khanna Bhatia. Akki paid a tribute to his late father-in-law Rajesh Khanna, by giving his newborn daughter, Khanna as a middle name.
Akshay married Twinkle in 2001. The couple also has 10-year-old son Aarav. Twinkle Khanna gave birth to a daughter on September 25 at Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai.
But here is a fun fact: Nitara is also the name of a character in Mortal Kombat video-game We hope Aarav had not suggested this one!
