With parents’ opposing and cultural clashes things get complicated but to make their love blossom into a marriage the couple fights harder.
Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya have done wonderful work. Offo is youthful and peppy number with quirky. Mast Magan sung by Arijit Singh and Chinmayi Sripada has a slight Sufi touch while Iski Uski being a peppy song. The Punjabi number Dhol Bajda is a typical wedding song. The song Locha-e-ulfat is an energetic offering and will be used by many boys to woo the girls.
Why to watch 2 States: The film is a light hearted comedy with some interesting one liners borrowed from Chetan Bhagat’s novel 2 States. The movie manages to charm similar as the book. The chemistry between Alia and Arjun is amazing and the kissing scene too portrays their chemistry well. Amrita Singh acting as loud Punjabi woman is fun to watch.
Why to miss 2 States: This romantic drama is s a total entertainer family saga with measured melodrama, some melodious songs and naach-gaana so don’t give it a miss.
Special mention: A special mention about Alia and Arjun’s kissing scene and the melodious numbers.
