Twitter mocked Ranveer with #YoRanveerSoPoor jokes:
Ranveer Singh has always impressed everyone with his amazing performances in his films. Recently he has not just been named the “Most Desirable Man 2017” but has also become the reason for jokes on Twitter. The Padmaavat actor’s definition of being poor caught everyone’s attention.
It all started when he talked about his family vacations in an interview with Conde Nast Traveller. Ranveer said in an interview to Condé Nast Traveller, “We didn’t have a lot of money when I was growing up. So my parents would save up and save up for that one big summer holiday abroad; I remember going to Indonesia, Singapore, Italy, but most often it was the US–we had a lot of families there. And December was always Goa with my grandparents.”
He spoke about many things but this thing in particularly got notice and did not go well with Twitterati. Soon the hashtag #YoRanveerSoPoor started rolling out on social media and many people highlighted the irony in Singh’s words and his insensitive comments.
