Padma Laxmi post on mothers cooking lessons will surely make you laugh:
As Mother’s day is approaching everyone is busy in making efforts to make their mom feel special whereas one of the popular author, model and television host Padma Lakshmi did something unique which left everyone in splits.
She posted a picture of how Indian mothers teach cooking to their daughters. Instead of making them learn from the recipe books and telling them the exact measurements they keep on saying “just put a little bit of that, a pinch of this just go by feel.”
Her post immediately went viral with almost 18,000 ‘likes’ and hundreds of comments. Many girls found it so relatable that they also shared the cooking experience they have with their Moms.
“Yes!! Or my mom says while demonstrating, ‘when it looks like this, it’s good’,” wrote one person. “Same with Filipinos. My mom never used measuring cups. Everything is by eye and taste,” said another.
